MS-103 pre-Pump Fuel Filter 30 micron stainless steel screen For 86-91 Vanagon

Early Vanagons had a pre-pump filter, later switching to a high pressure post pump filter.  This leaves the pump exposed to crud and  particles from the fuel tank. with a small filter screen at the inlet side of the pump, its doesn't take much to clog it or with aftermarket pump without a screen, prematurely wear out your pump.  The 103 filter has a removable 30 micron SS screen and is completely serviceable. and will probably last a lifetime.  In fact,  given its size you may never have to touch it!  But,  if you're in the middle of nowhere, and your tank has been pushing crap to the filter and you are left with a sputtering van, a quick road side clean out will get you back on the road and without a damaged pump  NOTE:  Filter kit is  designed for use on Vanagons equipped with a 12mm output barbed fuel tank  and Fuel pump inlet.  If you have an 85 or earlier, verify line size...
